CADILLAC CST -V Wagon

Friday, January 14, 2011
American manufacturer GM announced today the pricing for the Wagon version of the Cadillac CTS-V, a model which will become available later this year. GM will charge each buyer $62,990, including destination, and promises the thrill of a lifetime aboard the luxury wagon.

The car is powered by a 6.2l supercharged Eaton Twin Vortices Series V8 engine, which develops 556 horsepower and 747 Nm of torque. That’s enough to make the rather big vehicle jump from naught to sixty in 4 seconds.

All that power is controlled by either a Hydra-Matic 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted shift controls or a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual. The CT-S Sport Wagon does its thing on Magnetic Ride Control and uses a Brembo / Michelin combination of brakes and tires (Pilot Sport PS2, purpose built for the CTS-V).

Aside for the base price we talked about in the previous lines, Cadillac prepared several other unique touches, which will be offered at an extra price. That touches include Recaro heated and ventilated driver and passenger seats ($3,400), 9-inch, polished aluminum wheels ($800), midnight Sapele Wood trim package ($600) or Suede steering wheel and shifter ($300).

As already announced, the CTS-V Wagon is a limited edition, so if you’re in the market for one, you should place your order soon. Ordering books are already open at Cadillac retailers.
