Bad news for the frisky: A new study published in the British Medical Journal shows that cases of throat and mouth cancers associated with the HPV virus have been swiftly increasing in the U.S. and Europe. The likely culprit? Oral sex. Males and females that have had over four oral-sex partners over the course of their life are three times more likely to develop HPV-related throat cancer than those who've never taken their smacker downtown.
What's the best way to lower your risk of HPV?
1. Get tested for HPV before hooking up with the object of your hormones.
2. Use a condom when you get horizontal to reduce your risk.
