Saturday, April 2, 2011
Often we feel, what our body size, including type of thin or fat or even overweight (term is ‘obese’). There is a way of determination that is using the BMI (Body Mass Index) or Body Mass Index. According to wikipedia, the body mass index (BMI) is a heuristic proxy for human body fat based on an individual’s weight and height. Actually BMI does not measure the percentage of body fat.

BMI or Body Mass Index can be calculated by weight (in kilograms) divided by the square of height (in meters). Suppose 164cm height and 43kg weight, then his BMI is 15.9875.

Try to calculate BMI of your body, whether including thin or overweight (obesity).

Below is the value of BMI:
BMI BMI <18.5 means thin (when compared to height)
BMI between 18.6 to 24.9 is normal (healthy weight)
BMI between 25 to 29.9 is overweight.
Mean BMI of 30 or more obesity

So, where is the position of your body size? ^ _ ^
