Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 Overview

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 is a new super-zoom camera with the traditional design of a digital SLR. It delivers 4320 x 3240 maximum resolution, 14.1 million effective pixels and 3" LCD in a 1 body to cover virtually any shooting situations

The good: With the great features, you can get it just for a low price. It features 25mm Ultra Wide-Angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT Lens, Newly Developed MOS Sensor, and Power O.I.S anti-shake system.

The bad: The shape of the camera is a classic design as Panasonic, changeing a new design will be better. And the camera doesn't have an interchangeable lens.

Design

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 is one of the best video cameras. It offers 14 megapixel high-speed MOS image sensor, 24x zoom lens, 3-inch, 460K-pixel rotating LCD screen. The camera is available in blace, measures 124.3x81.2x95.2mm, weights 540g with battery, ane retails for $499.95.

Features
The camera owns an Intuitive Manual Control and Creative Option. The great manual controllability is the advantage of DMC-FZ100, making it stand out of standard compact cameras. The newly adopted jog dial enhances the operability together with the focus switch relocated on the lens barrel.

Performance
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100's(one of the best compact cameras) continuous shooting is 11fps, the HD 1080i movie recording in AVCHD formate is at 30fps. With the new 14.1 megapixel MOS sensor, the photographer can shoot photo and movie at any sensitivity from low to high and still have high quality clearness.

Summary
Though we were impressed with the FZ100's performance across a wide range of subject matter and its warm and flattering colours, we did occasionally struggle to get definitively sharp results at maximum telephoto when shooting handheld, which the camera lends itself to.
